Garri Production
Garri is one of many different kinds of food products that can be produced from fresh cassava roots. Garri is dry, crispy, creamy-white and granular. It is made from cassava roots that have been crushed into a mash, fermented and sieved into small pieces (known as grits). The grits are then roasted or fried to make the final crispy product. Garri is a popular food in West Africa and is fast becoming a marketable product.
Yam Flour
Yam flour (off-white fine flour) also known as Elubo is used to prepare Amala. Amala is mostly consumed by the Yoruba people from the south-west of Nigeria. white yams are the major varieties of yam used in yam flour production.
Plantain Flour
Plantain is the major raw material for plantain flour production, and it is available all year round in commercial quantities in many parts of Nigeria. Nigeria is said to be the largest producer of plantain in West Africa. Plantain flour production and processing is one of the best businesses to venture into for many good reasons. One of such reasons being that plantain is in very high demand due to its many health advantages.
